What kind of software are clubs using to keep records of their members' contact information like email, address, etc... for mailing labels and records of dues being paid?

Just asking before our club purchases software.

I use Excel for all club activities including shoot sheets , door shoots, custers etc. Excel is simple ( if you are computor literate). I would email any databases you would want t o use if you would like. I even have one that calculates a 60 bird program for a calcutta where all you do is enter the money paid in and scores and it figures the payouts

excel + word = simple, quick and easy

access = more complicated, but also more elaborate

    Cuban,

would you send me what your club uses? I want to get an idea of how to set up an Excel sheet before I buy something if it's not necessary.

    thanks,

    Chris

Your best bet is to purchase MS Office Professional. It contains MS Word and MS Excel.
As secretary treasurer for our club I use Excel to list members names and addresses.
I use MS Word to print mail labels from the Excel database. You can sort the list any way you want.
I have also used MS Word to print membership cards, getting the data from Excel.
I use MS Money to keep the club checkbook account.
We have about 1400 members and this works for us.

I'm the secretary of Quinton Sportsmens Club here in New Jersey. I'm using a commercial program called Member Ties Professional. I've been using it for about 10 years now and it does everything I could ask. I'm keeping track of over 1500 members with no problems whatsoever.
