If I were to machine a receiver and barrel assembly, where could I send it to get it proofed? Is it required to be proofed?

It does not need to be proved and Birmingam Proof House will do it.

Purchase some proof rounds and proof it yourself.

I met a guy maybe 30 years ago that made a copy of a Ljutic in his hobby garage machine shop. It's not impossible for a good machinist with the right equipment.

I was just try'n to be funny. I would love to see someone build their own and be successful. I'm sure a talented machinist with the equipment and time can make their own. The barrel is where the average machine shop faulters. Most don't have a lathe with the ability to bore that deep.

If you can make a reciever, you can make a sort of short monobloc section so
briley tubes would go in and there you have barrels.
