I won a shotgun on an online auction. I asked for extra pics to show certain parts of the shotgun, namely the receiver and stock before the auction ended. The new pics showed both sides of the receiver and the bottom of the stock and handguard. By the time I seen the new pics the auction was about up. I won the shotgun and asked him for pics of both sides of the stock before I sent the money order. In one of the pics there was a big hunk missing from the stock next to the receiver. I told him that I was retracting my winning bid because he did not disclose the big hunk missing in our emails and neglected in showing me the defect in the first stock pic that I requested. Now he wants $15 bucks for the auction. He says that "I am of course responsible for this fee". Should I pay him????? John.........

I would let him know how negative feedback affects his future sales.

After I told him to go pound sand.

In my opioin you should have done your research before bidding. $15.00 seems fair to me for backing out of the winning bid. JMHO, Jake

He did not disclose that in his listing????

as with any online auction, the description has to be accurate,, this is not a case of you being picky,,

That gun CLEARLY has a broken stock and should have been listed as such,

Halfmile nailed it. Tell him to go pound sand!
" Some minor dings in stock"
That is major damage and should have been in the description and in pictures showing it. Glad you didn't pay , receive then have to go through the headache of sending it back and fighting over sellers fees and shipping costs!

I would because I am so honest---after I told him to go stick his head in the toilet because that is where he sent his sale. I would give him some negative feedback also, because it would remedy my headache, that he caused.

Tell him to pound sand. You'd have to be a complete idiot (or a crook) not to notice damage like that when you were listing the gun. You owe him nothing.

Notice how he framed the pic of the receiver without showing any of the stock?? This pic is from the first batch he sent when I was asking for pics of the stock and receiver.

He's responsible for the mistake in his description not you. Don't pay and threaten negative feedback if he takes it any further. Watch your feedback on that site also. Mike.

Tell him you'll be fine paying the $15.00 but to make sure it doesn't get lost in translation, he has to come pick it up face to face.

i'd go a step beyond bad feedback: he deliberately misrepresented the gun in an attempt to defraud you. i'd report him to the auction site and have the azhole banned. nobody needs people like that
