Just got a note from the IWL asking for support for a change in the tax law covering guns and ammunition. We pay an excise tax on all types of sporting equipment and this is one tax we do not complain about. It is used wisely. But the manufacturers of most sporting equipment pay this tax quarterly; however, gun manufacturers and ammunition manufacturers must pay this tax every two weeks. The frequent payments result in an administrative burden and deprive the gun/ammo manufacturers of the use of capital.

I was really surprised to learn that there's a tax on tackle boxes - only wish that the tax is deductable.

I no longer use a tackle box as a toolbox

I just hope they don't raise the taxes or start adding more taxes. Like some sin tax you know because guns are so evil!
