Buiding a new trap club, that's what!
The construction at Scarborough Fish and Game is well underway. We are building nine new trap fields which will be ready for the Maine State Shoot July 20-22. There are many hotels within a 5 minute drive of the club and this is a perfect time of year to visit Maine. And what better way to enjoy a vacation than trap shooting?
Visit our website at www.scarfg.org for more information and photos.

Good Luck with the new club. It appears to me that it will be a great place to shoot. Nice and well thought out. Easy for a man to always be able to be in house and fill targets (while shooting), and a nice level field to harvest shot, with no distractions and a good background. Break-em all. Jeff

    Questions.

Are you putting sliding roofs on the houses?

    How deep are the houses?

    Joe,
The houses are aprox 8' deep with 6" poured concrete walls. They will be walk out and be 8' tall so no more crawling in and out. And the roofs will be poured as well and stationary. This is a closer photo of one of the houses. That is a large piece of equipment above the house if that gives any perpective on the size.

Just one more very good reason to support the K80 raffle being held by the Maine Trapshooters Association. Please check another thread here, or the home page of the Maine State Trapshooters for details.

    Thanks

    150 yards of concrete - $14,000
    Underground electrical service - $13,000
    25 cases of bottled water - $150
Heineken - quantity and cost classified information
    New trap club - PRICELESS!

This venture has been 3 years in the making with a lot of hard work done by many volunteers. We are so excited to be moving dirt and pouring concrete
This is all being done with volunteer labor and the funds have been raised through a capital fund raising campaign.
Please support the Maine K80 raffle!

A mule? We don't got no dang mules in Maine.
Last time I checked no one at the club had impregnated anyone else. But we still have nine months to check.
We are open for practice Saturdays and Sundays from 9AM until 1PM.

Brett, The club is located in Scarborough. It's just south of Portland. Very easy to get to. Go to mainetrapshooting.com & you'll get more info than you need. Hope to see you there. tvbill

What is the reason for rebuilding and relocating the club's trapfields? Let me guess to provide room for a new trailer park. The LAST time I was there in the 90's you guys gave a wooden paper towl holder as the trophy to the non-resident singles champion. We just couldn't wait to get back there for more of that!!!!! NOT.

Frank...The new fields will be ready in time. Parking will behind the new fields. The old pole barn & the pond will soon be gone. There will be a new pole barn behind the new fields. Squadding & classifing & cooking will take place there. Camping for this year will be on the old traps of 6,7,8&9. A new camp ground will be behind the new traps. Somewhere between 35&50 sites will be put there with a 100ft turnaround. Power has been run up to the new location. Alot of people are working very hard to make sure it's going to be a great shoot. I'll be there Thursday July 19th, from 5pm-7pm, with squad tickets & I'll be classifing at that time also. See you there. tvbill
