I just picked up a Mec reloader, 12guage, single stage, resizes the shells and has a manual prime feed. Holds about 100 primers in a long metal tube and you move a little knob back and forth to dispense the primers. The machine is green in color, has no writing on it, anyone ever seen a green machine. I never saw a MEC that didn't have MEC stamped on it somewhere. The Tube type primer feeder will help. There used to be quite a few companies that made reloaders that were basically like a MEC jr. Even Savage made reloading gear for a while. If my memory is right, Texan or western reloaders were kind of a blue/green color. I'll be interested when you find out what it is. Are the bottles removable or made in three pieces?

    Picture would be nice.

I bought an old 600 and it had a texan charge bar with texan shot and powder bushings in it. Was this typical???

I will try to get a picture posted. It looks just like a Mec, except that it is green. The bottles are removeable and it uses a Mec charge bar. The resizing station is just like the Mec case conditioner unit, with the chrome plated tube and the resizer that screws on the bottom. The whole machine looks like a Mec Jr. HMB

I just gave it a thorough going over with a flash light and the only writing on the press is the letters S B C on one of the bolts. HMB

    I'm voting for Texan. .

Texan was sued into extinction by Mec as I recall.

Texan bars were interchangabe with the 600 jr. loader that I had.
They were the first to offer bushing bars for both powder and shot that I remember.

Texan were a knock-off of Pacfics. It would seem any lawsuits would be between Pacific and Texan.

Some of the older MEC's just had a foil decal on the front of them. That's what my 1966 Jr has, but it's still painted Red and Black.
