As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have some airline miles I need to burn off, and one option is to head for the Great Lakes Grand. Never having been there, I'd like to hear from any of you with tips on which airport to fly in to, where to stay, eat, and any info about the shoot itself.
    Thanks,
    ajc

It's a great shoot and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. They keep the program moving at a good clip and it's all in all a very well run event. Lansing International airport would be my choice.

The weather will be cold, warm, rainy, foggy, windy, hot, clear and calm with evening thunder storms, all in the same day.

Good background, nice grounds, very well run - a pleasure to shoot! You will enjoy it as we do, each and every time.

Great Shoot, Great people, Great targets, Great background. MTA Tom hopefully will be on here as he usually has motel/hotel info.

    See you there.

Try the Okemos area for lodging. There should be a Comfort Inn and Holiday Inn Express ad in the program for discounted rates.

Darbs in Mason has excellent pizza and cold beer! Great place.

    Regards,
    Matt

The most constant background I've ever seen, great targets, wonderful people - the shoot is well run, and a pleasure to shoot.

    Enjoy!

the weather will be well very inconsistant, but MTA is my 2nd favorite plae to shoot all time behind red mountain in arizona which no longer exists so i guess its my favorite now, and i couldnt agree more with pullbangloss about lodging and food. he is 100 percent correct there
