The home state shooters reap the rewards of having the shoot in their own backyard !

I have seen this set of statistics before and I always am a bit confused by the lack of Grand participation by Iowa. I know their state shoot is held close to the Grand but 3% of total participation for a state where the sport is popular is remarkably low.

Pennsylvania is much further from Sparta than Iowa yet they have over 4% of the shooters in attendance. Wisconsin with a similar distance as Iowa to Sparta can boast over 5% of attendees.
