    From the Sparta News-Webdealer

Sparta Mayor Rob Link said the ATA has hired Mike Hampton to serve as Grand American tournament director. Hampton and the ATA agreed to a three-year contract. Hampton was tournament director for the event in 2007.

Is this the same person that the NSSA gave a "golden parachute" of a million dollars to?

    Ed,

Anyone that has worked for the ATA, made the best decisions, ran the best shoots (smoothly & economically), just plain ol' was for the good of the organization . . . are just not hired back. So it's safe to say that Mike will do a wonderful job as Chuck did for many years and when the ATA see him doing things for the good of the organization . . . he won't be hired back either. He may hear that by rumor and then several months later a formal letter less than two weeks prior to a big event will appear in the mailbox telling him his services are no longer needed.

Remember . . . it's the good ol' boys running the ATA now. If you don't do it their way . . . your outta here! And this is not just the tournament director . . . this is the same for any position. Look how many positions have changed faces over the past few years. Think about it!

Both the damacraps and the ATA do not pay attention to history. So when it repeats it's self they just say "what happened" didn't see that one coming.
