Saw some AA low recoil low noises shells at the local wally world. State on box 26 grams of shot. I know there are 7,000 grains in a lb. and about 492 grains in 1 1/8 oz. So how do I conver Grams to oz or Grains? Just what was this load 1oz, 7/8, 3/4 ??
    thanks

There are 28.3 grams to an ounce. 26 grams is a little over 9 tenths of an ounce

26grams comes to 401.24 grains of shot. This is just above 7/8 (382.81) and below 1oz (437.5)

One conversion table that I looked at stated that 26 Grams equals .91 Ounces.

If this is correct, then 26 Grams would be slightly less than one ounce or a little more than 7/8 ounce. This seems reasonable to me!

.917 oz of shot conversion web site above is good. go to its home page endless amount of info. I used these loads to start my wife shooting trap out of a 870. Work very well. She was hitting targets just as well as she does now with the auto and 1 1/8 1145fps target loads. I use to get them at a dicks. They no longer stock them. Witch is what got me into reloading. I recently bought all walmart had @ 5 per box and sent in for the winchester gas card 10.00.

    Mike,

To answer your question, 1 gram = 15.43 grains.
