Now, barry is encouraging state and local governments to purchase "Government Motors" vehicles with incentives.
That means Ford Motor Company will get punished for being honest and being an AMERICAN.

Let's face a major issue; bond holders, although I'm not one, were raped by the Obama Administration. I believe that the Indiana Teachers' Union had lost money in their pension fund due to the Crysler bond holders; heaven only know who the bond holders were from General Motors? How many pension funds have these bonds within their portfolios? Now as a long-term investor, why in the hell would anyone invest in Corporate bonds? The Government is now picking winners and losers and the bond (secured by what sense?) holders are the losers. This is the type of thing that will destroy business and investing as we know it. Contracts be damned by this Administration; this is a tragedy. BT-100dc

You have to remember this President came from the non-profit sector. Like many Congressmen and Prezzes before him, his only time spent supporting himself in the private sector was a brief stint in some law firm. After that, it was all non-profit social-engineering stuff, organizing, activism...a paid-pot-stirrer. The non-profit sector is the black radiating body that all their viewpoints emanate from. The existence of a private, independent, for-profit sector is a distraction for them, and sometimes an unwelcome one.

If you asked Obama to write a two-page paper about the importance of the private sector in American society...he'd be up all night working on it, if he didn't have his speech writers in there helping. I think he'd really have to think hard, to fill both pages...I give him some credit, but I still think he'd start tapping his pencil about halfway down page two. There is a whole segment of US society now for whom the importance of a vibrant, independent private sector is a complete secret that they've never been made aware of. They live their lives within the non-profit sector, and frankly don't have much understanding of the "other side."

To these people, the actions of an Evo Morales or a Hugo Chavez are wrong only in degree; a quantitative error, not a qualitative one...simply a matter of misdirected application. And as you watch what they are presiding over in the US economy now, you have to conclude that Thomas Friedman was correct when he stated, "We're all Frenchmen now!"

Look what happened when Banks started _trying_ to give back their Bailout money. Washington was DISAPPOINTED! They didn't like it at all! This was not a sign of progress - they had hopes of those companies becoming captive zombie-slaves just like GM, and were not-so-secretly pissed when it didn't happen.

If you want to truly understand the actions of Obama over the coming years, simply remember this: to him, the Private Sector is the enemy, at worst, and a distraction, at best. It gets in the way of what he feels he's here on Earth to do.

When Americans are prosperous, holding down productive, remunerative jobs in the private sector, and are generally happy with their lives and are independent to live them just as they see fit, and see Government not as a help, but as a hindrance - THAT's when Obama is farthest away from where he wants to be.

When Americans are scared, defensive, and angry at their private-sector robber baron supervisors, and are unemployed, receiving a check from the Government, seeking its assistance, and generally down on their knees praying to God or anybody else who will listen about where their next meal is coming from...that, THAT, is when this President ROCKS - and HE KNOWS IT. He knows this ride ain't going to last forever, and he wants to make the most of it while he can.

It ain't every day that an American President gets to nationalize huge, crucial industries. You have to go back quite some decades to find the last time an opportunity like this laid itself down in front of a President. Obama is not going to let this pass him by. He's taking his place in history.

thank God the Crown Victoria is the police and Trooper's first choice.

Can't you see the cops trying to catch the 87 Mustang with a Chevy Volt?
