Can't trust those teenagers with flashlights, ya know. And if they mess with the plastic tag on the cow's ear they might traumatize the cow.

Heard those 2 on the radio yesterday.

Is the AFL-CIO going to organize farm labor? There should be job descriptions and seniority.

City people trying to tell country people what to do and how to live.

That is a big part of growing up on a farm. Those kids are more safety minded then any city kid will ever be. Besides the kids are being watched over by the parent.

This is another step to distroy America.

And.....has anybody noticed....it doesn't have to be a large government bureaucracy that is nutso? The Feds and State level people are one thing but some of these small local municipalities and townships have people at the helm that are nuttier than a fruit cake!..........Uncle Sam, Pa.

Makes perfect sense if you're an UberLib. Pushes the farm kid into libber college where they can be indoctrinated, and makes more jobs for the illegals.

This is not the America that I grew up in (on the farm), nor is it the America that I spent 8 years of my life fighting and protecting. Viva R3volution!

    Uncle Sam,

Here in Michigan they are completly off their rockers. Three years ago, I got a letter from the local building dept. stating that my porch on my house was out of code, and needed to be replaced. To make a long story short, I had to remind the Bldg. Inspector what the terms were that he was citing in the code that were completely met by my existing porch. You know the usual load capability stuff. I reminded him that my porch met code. So a couple months later I received another letter telling me that my porch needed to be painted to meet code. I asked to be shown in the code where it states that uncovered porches were required to be painted. No answer was given.

About a year later I decided to replace my porch with the same thing just new concrete slab and some replaced blocks.

The week before this this project was started, I was in Florida and had broken my leg, so I had a cast up to my knee and was on crutches. I proceeded to pull a permit for the project. I started and removed the bad concrete and slab. So to satisfy the inspection I dug down next to the footings and code here is 42 inches. I called for an inspection and the inspector, a young lady, arrived. She took her clipboard and started looking things over. When she was done she told me that my footings were one inch too shallow. Measured with a tape measure from stand up height eye level. My remark to her while I was standing there in a cast, "There is the shovel, start digging". I agree with you "Uncle Sam" the local Governments are NUTSO too.

These people have been programed to act this way. Proof you say! I bet you will find ALL these people who "think" this way, HAVE college degree's!! And hold those positions because they have that piece of paper claiming they are "Smarter then YOU"!

How many of you have seen the video of the EPA official stating that oil companies "need to be made an example of"

He quoted the need to do as the Romans did, when they sacked a town, execute the first 4 or 5 citizens they came across to be made example of and bring all others into submission (compliance).

    His words not mine

I would think that being on a farm and working for the family is much safer for a young person than living as a welfare case in some big city. From what I can tell it makes better adults out of the kids too.

Isn't the family farm the greatest asset this country has? The one thing that has saved us time and time again from starvation and helped us win wars?

Fraz.........your full of ahit up to your eyebrows!!!!!!!! It takes a idiot to blame everyone for the actions of a few...........

Your might be talking about one union (service union) but the rest are against illegal immigration and have warned of the consequences for years.

If people were paid a wage they could live on there would be NO illegal immigrants, think about it!!

That ought to get the union bashers going, lol

Likes-to-shoot, Scream if you will, bluster your notions or stick you head in the sand; but you can't hide, dues, unions, illegal immigrants and votes is where its at. Wages has nothing to do with this movement. The pathway to legalization.

I am assured that the majority of members are against illegal immigration, and a want good fair wage; but this is not the point, its gaining votes through increased membership, the abuse will be in using the union as a catalysis to citizenship.
Oh and I still got my card.

Announced today...Under heavy pressure from "farm groups", the Administration said Thursday it would drop an unpopular plan to prevent children from doing hazardous (what is "hazardous") works on farms owned by anyone other than their parents. AP printed.

What do they mean by "farm groups" and what do they mean by "hazardous"????

In other words, common sense over rode liberal, do goody, out of clue, zealots when they realized it would cost votes!
