Gov. Christie has said he has changed his mind and he will vote for President Obama partially due to Romney wanting to do away with FEMA. we can not afford to lose the support of Gov.Christie

He was looked at by a great many as a RINO before this storm hit.

    Remember "all politics are local"

The storm that will hit this country after it goes bankrupt due to programs like FEMA, be make Sandy look like a todddler.

When non union work crews from Alabama came to NJ to help the storm victims they were turned away by the people in charge. Hard to believe. HMB

All we can do is hope for a Romney win, so we don't have to label a bunch of people HYPOCRITES! I used to be against Government assistance, but now that "I" need it, I am for it, but please, don't tell anybody!

The storm was very unfortunate for many, but I think this will amount to the push Obama needed to retain the White House. That will be unfortunate for many more.

Why should tax payers have to pay for wealthy people that want to build their home on beach front property?

I owe EVERYTHING to big government handouts.

I just wish obummer would ask them stingy rich folks to pay "a little more". You know, just their fair share. Millions of us ambition impaired, able bodied, helpless slackers would greatly benefit from some additional income redistribution and social justice.

Look, Obama wanted to be near Christie so Obama could look good.

Give the Slacker in Chief a break.

In a couple of months, he will join the 23 million of unemployed.

Fortunately fir him the economy will turn around with Romney in office and Obama may not be out of work too..... excuse me, I mean, will not be without a job he can sit around at just collecting his pay check for too long a time.

shannon391.... I think there's a lot of other people hurt by the storm who aren't rich and don't have beach front property.

Government often wastes a crap-load of our tax money, but there's a place for agencies like FEMA even if they aren't as efficient as they should be. The irony here is that Romney's recenly adopted, ultra-right plan to get rid of so many govt. agencies like FEMA may well cost him the election sine FEMA seems to be doing a decent job this time around.

Sorry but the OP is BS. Please find me a direct quote from Christie where he says he's voting for Obama or even endorses Obama. Christie said that Obama did his job well with respect to how he handled Sandy, but he never came out and endorsed the man for re-election. On the other hand, he said he doesn't care about the election and he's more concerned with getting his state rebuilt after the storm. Until Ryan27 shows some proof, I'm call BS.

The big "O" is doing his very best to appear "Presidential". He is parading around in the debris that used to be New Jersey in a suit and tie. Like the punch line in a very old joke "If you are impotent you gotta look impotent".
    He is sickening!

We all know evacuation in advance of a major hurricane isn't necessary.

With the exception of the French Quarter, all of New Orleans sits below sea level. The Quarter is the high ground at about three feet above sea level.
Evacuation wasn't necessary before Katrina. It's the government's RESPONSIBILITY to keep you safe and happy.

Stay home. Wait it out. Host yourself a drunken 'hurricane party'. If things get really ugly, call 911. First responders appreciate going out in the weather YOU can't handle to save your dumb @ss.

Remember, government agencies love you. In the aftermath of a hurricane it's the federal government's job to be johnny on the spot and make everything good as new. Except for that no good George Bush.

We all KNOW Bush personally delayed FEMA'S response to Katrina because he hates poor people - particularly the poor democrats of New Orleans. After all, there were eye witnesses who saw Bush himself sneaking around the levy protecting the 9th Ward just before the explosion. What more proof do ya need? Bush doesn't like poor folks. An inadequate response by FEMA can't be explained any other way.

Now we have the victims of Sandy. They're cold, wet, hungry and sitting in the dark. There's no gas but there's still plenty of sand on the streets and in houses that weren't turned to rumble or washed away. FEMA aint cuttin' the mustard.

Now by Gawd, we know Obama hates the residents of communities trashed by Sandy. Ask the libs. Theres' no other explanation....
