Put some skeet chokes in your trap gun and go shoot for a while, until you really know what to shop for. Mark

The Remington 1100 won more skeet titles from it's introduction in 1963 through 1983 than any other shotgun.

A beautiful one could be had for less than your target figure in excellent condition

Easy to get in 20, 28, and 410 ga. if you find you enjoy competitive skeet.

Find an unpopular Superposed 30" trap gun that some schnook put chokes into... Oops, that's me! (... and you can't have mine)

1100. A really good one is the heavy-frame 20 gauge skeet model, not the 20 LT. It's a little hard to find but there are plenty around if you look. It really is a magic gun. I've had a bunch of skeet guns just for fun and it's the only one I shoot now. The O/U and the 4-barrel set stay in the safe. Just throw it in the car in a soft case when you go to the club to shoot trap and when there's an offer to shoot with someone have a little fun with it.

And you will save half your $1000 for shells and targets. Estate 20-gauge skeet loads are cheap - and good - enough to let the hulls fly.

I've got a barely used Beretta 391 Urika 2 field grade in 28" that I'd ship for $950.

Had a Daly. Loved it. regret selling it. Might want to ask Barry what types of springs are in it, coil or flat, and if flat Id find a set and replace them as soon as i could. I believe it has an inertia trigger set up, which i am not enamored with. But like i said , i regret selling mine.
