1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I'm in the market for an A2 complete upper. Anybody know of any good places to buy an upper? The only market that I'd use so far is MidwayUSA. Got one for sale? PM me or post it here.

    Thanks

    Nick

Anyone have any experience with model one sales? I have only one person tell me about them and that was to stay away.

Model 1 Sales was always quality when I bought it (with the exception of one broken extractor on a 6.8). However, when things went nuts last year, there were tales of ridiculously long wait times. Also people were waiting on stuff that was available and being sold from their tables at gunshows even though orders weren't filed.

I ordered a Rock River AR from Pete - Legal Transfers LLC recently. He seemed like a good guy to deal with, his price was very good. He told me he's Rock Rivers biggest distributor. I don't know if that's true or not. But based on my deal with him I would recommend him. http://www.ar15sales.com/index.htm

I was at a gun show a few weeks ago and M&A Parts was there and had a table full of uppers at pretty good prices - http://www.mapartsinc.com/

    Good luck in your search

Have an extra flat top upper by Bushmaster. M4 profile 16" barrel with 1-9 twist, added a VTAC carbine length handguard, Armalite low profile gas block, Miculek compensator, high rise scope blocks and a Millett DMS 1-4x scope for $900. As so often happens, almost as soon as it was completed my JP-15 upper came in.

This is the AR I built out of Model 1 parts. So far, I've never had a failure to fire, feed or anything else. The only part I did not get from Model 1 was the empty lower receiver, that is a Rock River. I bought it chambered in 5.56 Nato so military surplus ammo wouldn't give me a hassle. 5.56 & .223 go thru this thing like " Crap thru a Goose". I love it. Slap in my Ceiner 22LR conversion and plinking is a joy also.
