The good news is that the family hunting dog saves a baby from a pool

    http://www.cnn.com/video/?hpt=hp_t2#/video/us/2012/06/26/dnt-mi-dog-saves-toddler.wood

The bad news is that there might be some hi bred vigor missing here.

    Regards from Iowa

I think I'd be more worried about a fungal infection from that cesspool the kid fell into!

I'm with kiv on this one, better give the kid a bath in Lysol, and call the pool cleaner.

Maybe its a cement pond like on the Beverly Hillbillies.

I have a vet friend who says there needs to be some genetic testing and IQ testing requirements befor you are allowed to reproduce

I dont agree with him but there certainly is no shortage of evidence to support his position.

I have to ask: Gene, was your friend referring to the dog or the family of the child for letting their pool be maintained the way it appeared in the video.

I see no point in having something if you cannot afford to maintain it.

A pool can get to look quite bad in a very short time and it takes forever to get it back to normal. It the meanwhile it looks like a science experiment or the proverbial primeordeal ooze which we supposedly all came from.

No- my vet friend just thinks there are people without the mental or financial assets to improve the human race. If you cant pass the test you dont get a license

I dont agree with him but I do see his point.

My first thought watching this video myself was- there arent a lot of smarts here, nor is there a good standard of care and hygine not to mention responsibility on where your kids are and what they are doing.

    Regards from Iowa
