At the Ohio State Trap Shoot at the Cardinal Center, you have to buy a $50.00 a day permit to use your own cart.

They want you to rent their rental carts

Yes. Most places are fairly liberal. Some clubs require proof of insurance & will not permit carts to be driven by anyone that doesn't possess a drivers license.

    KMKS5,
Don Cogan brought up the topic of golf carts. The Board decided to end the confusion over the cart registration fees and eliminate the $50.00 charge that Salopek was collecting as well as the $5.00 fee charged by the O.S.T.A. for shooters bringing their own golf cart. J.T. Evans moved that no O.S.T.A. fee would be added for golf cart rental or use of a private cart. Don moved to second and the vote passed unanimously. In 2009, the golf carts will no longer be through Salopek and Cardinal will handle golf cart rentals. Any under age person caught driving a golf cart will have the keys confiscated. The keys can be picked up at the CEB by an adult. Salopek will be given a list of persons who receive a cart through O.S.T.A. and only those who are listed will have a cart paid by the Association.

There is no $50.00 fee this year at the Ohio State Shoot!

Bird Grinder is right. I would think and hope they still require a proof of insurance.

Some people laugh about insurance for golf carts and licensed drivers only, my friend was hit but a Automobile while in his golf cart at the course, A law suite came about for injuries, to the CAR driver. friend was sued, insurance covered his ass only becouse the course requires a drivers license, and carts are allowed in parking lot. PS when signing rental agreement you release liability from the course? in the end the guy got 10k for a bump on his head and broken dentures, My friend says his teeth fell out when he was yelling a screaming about his car, what ever. golf carts a great. seen some tricked out ones....

BIRD GRINDER, Thanks for the new information . As you know Carts are getting very popular and many shooters are now using their own Sporting Clays Carts at shooting events.
I know I stayed away from the State shoot after the 1st year at Cardinal because they wouldn't let me bring my Sporting Clays Cart on site unless I paid the $50.00 a day permit. Maybe now I'll shoot the event this year.
