Good shoot. I stayed at the Atlantis last year during the State Shoot. Good hotel with nice rooms, amenities etc., but a SOB to park unless you use valet. Not many parking spaces as they get lot of locals and people who drive there. Long way to haul your gun etc. every day if you don't valet.

The GWG is a well-run shoot. I've made the long drive a couple of times, but you need to be aware that the weather is a crap shoot. First time I went it snowed. Last year, for the first couple of days, it was so windy they closed 395 to trucks and RV's.

I'll go back again, just hope the weather isn't so bad next time.

Ditto on the Atantis parking. Major PITA; next time I'll search out someplace that's less of a hassle.

I went last year it rained 98% of the time but usually its nice. SageHill runs its shoots very well and takes good care of the shooters.

Don, The Golden West will run from May 5th to the 9th, and there may be a preliminary day on Tue the 4th like in the past. The turnout is pretty light on the first days but by the weekend there is a fair turnout. You can still see the scores from last year at www.sagehillclays.com to get an idea of the program (shoot results tab at top of home page). The scores look low on some days as the wind was blowing. The Atlantis has some great deals, just use the Valet to make life easy. Hope to see you there, you to Zard!
