1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Very intersting set of medium rings that have the leopold/redfield/others mounting system

These are gold plated- and the top of each ring is smooth- screw doesnt go all the way through. The rings weigh about .4 onces more than regular rings

These look to be medium- when I checked it would cost nearly $350 dollars to plate these as they are.

    Offered here for sale

Without the matching Gold plated bases its gonna look a little funny on a gun. IMO You don't have the bases?? Are they 1", how tall and what are you thinking price wise if Rick is nuts? Hell, scrape that crap off and sell it for the Gold value.---Matt

They are medium rings - it was on a blue base- I think it would be too much on a gold base

It held a redfield 3X9 scope - so medium size objective

    regards from Iowa

Not to rain on you Gene but,

Just grabbing any old plating site from Google, it looks like the cost to plate a polished set of rings would run about $50-$75.

    http://texaspgp.com/#price

Add the cost of the rings...$30

I've had parts gold plated before and it was never expensive. If I remember right, the plater said the actual cost of the gold is about $3 per sq inch.

well that gives me an idea- cheaper than a local platter wanted

Heck is cost me 75 bucks to have a trigger plated- I need to shop around more

I knew this wouldnt be a retirement income in any case- came on a rifle

    nice looking rings

    thanks

    Gene
