I wrap each gold brick in carpet and use them as door stops. Saves money on storage and insurance.

$900.00 plus.. would be dead cost on the parts.... plus labor.... The BEST gun I've built so far had well over 80 hours in it.. plus 200 rounds of ammo.. plus range time... $200.00 would be better than a good shooter.. but it would be a shame.. not to take the parts to there full potential.. That takes time.. and hand fitting.. and stones..and polishing... I'd think if you upped it between $1500/$2000 you'd have something really nice...

I have ordered all the parts for my latest project.. I've saved my money up.. and nothing will be spared for my 357 SuperAuto.. I'll post pictures if anyone is interested.. NOT for sale..but if it works out.. would be an option for those who have a good 1911 in 45 ACP to play... All Good.. Mike

I think I could catch the 1911 bug very easy, sounds like a fun and rewarding hobby.

Some of those pieces are truly works of art and possibilities seem endless.

It seems equaled out now, a weeks pay, an ounce of gold, a nice .45 ACP.
