Gold Inlay Replacement

    My Perazzi MX8 barrel has lost some it's gold from the inlayed "MX8." Who can fix it?

    Thanks Baron. He's very good but I don't want to send the gun that far for the small job that it is. I think I'll check some jewelers or pawn guys here. Gotta be somebody closer.

    I'm not sure where "here" is, but please do look for an engraver. Usually an inlay...no matter the size, is set on stippling and is back cut so as to be able to hold it in...otherwise, it falls out. A knife or gun engraver will know how to do this.

    Brownells sells a gold inlay kit for about $30.00. It does a good job on touchup if the engraving is deep enough. It is easy to use and the final color is a beautiful gold. You can buy it on line from them.

    Your just extra special, Citadel. Ha ha! Thanks a bunch folks. I'll get one of the Brownell kits. I don't know why I want to fix it now. It's been that way for 20+ years.
