I ran my first 25 straight in practice last night with a borrowed gun and I'm ready! Just figured up my entry fees to enter all events at the Grand and play ALL the options to win BIG. The last of the kids' college fund has just enough money to cover event entry fees of $3,338 including the $200 Lewis, but not event $17 the Champion event - whatever that is. I figure if I can buy a nice SKB combo worth the money ($2,000)and hold expenses to $300 for rooms, food $350 and Gas $250 I can just make it. Whoops, forgot shells...say $750 for 10 flats @ $75 each I will be all set. Sure, I can run with the big dogs...for only about $7,000 - how 'bout you? How much did you say I can win? Regards, Ed

Who needs college anyway? I didn't go to college and look at me. Ok, bad example. :)

    Hey Oldgoat,

I told my wife about all of the money to be won. She has so much faith in me she went out and spent it already. Now I have no choice but to go and win.

No fancy ammo needed, last years winner didn't need it. I'll stay home and put the money into silver. Good Luck, the Bruise brothers from back East are showing up this year. Sorry I don't know their real names. I mortgaged the house on Leo last year and I didn't see any money!! Double or nothing! Moneys already gone!

Eddie! great! fantastic analogy, 4000 other shooters will feel the same, as the old saying, "I went into prison as a tight end, left as a wide receiver" incinerate em!

Thanks for the responses! I now realize after having been reminded by knowledgeable friends that going to the Grand in anything other than at least a $250K motor home plus a nice golf cart to get around would be embarrassing. So...guess I will come to grips with the reality that trapshooting is best left to those wealthy enough to afford it. Just thought I could have some fun and win big buck$. Best Regards, Ed
