I'd say the unemployment will be way cheaper than subsidizing this albatross.

I just don't understand it! You would think the Volt would be a number one seller because it is only 40K, gets less mileage than most new vehicles on the road today, and runs a whopping 30 miles on electric power before it poops out.

One hundred years from now the Volt will bring 350 million dollars at auction due to its rarity.

Now, announced Nat Gas powered trucks from the factory. Makes sense if Obama doesn't figure out some way to screw it up.

If thats 1300 union thug communitist jobs lost, lets celebrate. The grand finality is when Obummer looses his job. He would make a great Volt salesman, just the right touch of BS with a big smile.

Maybe the GM engineers should have considered this. Kind of eliminates the need for the extension cord.

I'm glad that they have figured out how to mark up the natural gas before they even hit the market, on the futures market it was about $2.36 per million btu, there's about 100-110,000 btu per gallon so it would run about 23-26 cents per gallon equivalent, but in the article on the truck they say slightly over $2 to gas up with nat gas

NO Union jobs were "Lost". By now, most of those "poor laid-off workers" are probably headed to DisneyWorld for a coupla weeks while they still collect 95% of their working wages and laughing all the way.

a volt made in the usa: $41,500 retail, $33,100 after federal rebates. a volt made in china: $32,000 retail, $26,000 after federal rebates. a volt made in iran: $24,700 retail, $19,700 after federal rebates. i can do $20k for an around town green car, but only with the assistance of your generous tax contribution which covers the other $5000. please don't ask me to sacrifice any of my trap shooting time to pay towards my nice, new iranian made volt. my government will pay for the difference. thanks
