Hi Guys, I just took delivery of a new toy, and have removed the long hi-viz type sight from the barrels. There is residue left...partly soft and partly hard. What have you used with best results to remove it, and what should I avoid? Cheers-Graham.

If the glue is epoxy then acetone will remove it. HMB

Acetone will do what you want as will mineral spirits. Neither is kind to most stock finishes so keep it on that end of the barrel.

    You might try rubbing alcohol.
