Glen Park In Merrillville, IN kicked off its Big 50 program last night. Despite the freezing weather, we had 10 shooters come out an shoot. We shoot the Big 50 every Wednesday night.

There is a $50 Bounty to the 1st shooter who runs 50 in the singles AND 50 in the handicap, sponsored by King Tec, a local company.

We found a small hitch in the process regarding the handicap sign-up. Next week I'll have sheets made up for 20-22yds. and 23-25yds. This should cover almost all the yardages we need.

All in all it went pretty smoothly for the first time out. We threw almost 1000 registered targets and still took care of the practice shooters.

Warm clubhouse, good friends and lots of chatter made for a very enjoyable evening.

From the looks of the scores, that $50 Big 50 Bounty looks like it will be safe for quite a while. Not as easy as it looks, especially in this firgid weather, and at night. But who comes out to shoot for the money?
