The results of our ATA shoot held this past Sunday, August 1st, are now posted at the ATA website, along with scores earning money payouts.

This was a great shoot. Kudos to Roger Hall for keeping our machines in perfect order. Target presentation was great, as evidenced by shooters who commented at the desk when collecting money or leaving for the day. Lovey, Linda & Stacey kept the kitchen going. And thanks to the shooters who volunteered to score, load and clean the fields. It made for a smooth shoot. Even with the 11 squads of singles, 10 squads of handicap & 4 squads of doubles, the last shot was fired at 4:35 pm allowing our shooters to get out at a reasonable hour.

Thanks to all our Illinois shooters participating, as well as those from Michigan, Florida & Massachusetts. Yes, we had a shooter from Massachusetts on his way to the Grand, visiting family in the area, and decided to get a few more targets (Jacob Pappas).

Although we didn't have any 100 straights this shoot, we did have 6 scores of 99 in the singles. We had some great scores in the handicap, including a 97 from Wayne Wagner (and a 1 yard punch), just days before his trip to the Grand.

Checks to the shooters and the paperwork to the ATA went out in the mail this afternoon.

What, the streak is over? No called shots? Must have been a bad shell.

Glad to see you guys had a good shoot.

Not everybody had a good day. Stuff happens. It would have taken MORE than one shell.

Well all good things must come to an end. At least you got a picture of the one and only Miller Lite Killer shooting!

We're trying not to dwell on the negative aspects of the shoot, just going forward. But have you ever seen two good buddies hugging each other like Al & Leroy? Definitely a Kodak moment.
