Gene Gant passed yesterday

    Gene Gant age 83 passed away yesterday after an extended illness.

    Gene was past president of the Texas Trapshooters Assn. and a first class gentleman in every way.

    Services Monday at 2 PM in Wichita Falls Texas Tenth and Broad Church of Christ.

    Dick, can't tell you how sorry I am to hear about Gene. He was a fixture in Texas trapshooting for as long as I can remember. He'll be missed. Darla

    Gene Was a fine gentleman and I always enjoyed visiting with him

    Gene's service was concluded by the Minister reading Gene's personal instructions.

    Among them was that his pallbearers were to be two of his best friends, Joe Adair and Jack Johnson and 4 of his creditors, he wrote "they have carried me this far why not the rest of the way". Everybody had to laugh at the vintage humor from a wonderful, humble man.
