I was just told by a friend that he heard Soros is buying or trying to buy gun company's and manufacturers .

Anyone hear anything about this ? He has the money to do it and then shut them down.

So? Do you really think there will be a market need and nobody will fill it?

The N- and K-frame Smiths are well off patent. Shut down Smith, and a new company might be able to make one without an internal lock.

I wish people would do even a modicum of research before posting this kind of junk.

Well IndyShotgun once again you show your brilliance. If you had a clue as to what you speak of, you'd already know that S&W is going back to the standard trigger lock instead of the internal one.

Go back to sucking your thumb and leave the real gun discussions to those in the know.

I'll try to find another source for that news, but let's hope you heard correctly.

What's a "standard trigger lock"? No proper revolver has any "standard" trigger lock.

Now, they need to dump MIM parts and two-piece barrels. Smith working on those issues, as well?

Shucker, there is no news on the SW forum that Smith is discontinuing the internal lock.

This would be the biggest news of the decade in the Smith world.

I expect Grin to have no knowledge of anything firearms-related, so if you have a source for this good news, please post it.

Yeah your right Indy. I know absolutely nothing about guns at all. In fact i don't even own any. This is why i'm so eagerly awaiting another lesson from the all knowing one. Might just go out and buy me one.

Got that internal lock story, Grin? Don't post until you find it. If you can't find it, delete your thoughtless posts.

Delete your posts until you ID yourself per forum rules.

Barry... maybe that Cerebus owns Remington?!

Irregardless, the NSSF sent our a mass email that the story is patently false...

"DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR . . . Despite rumors to the contrary, Cerberus, the private equity firm that owns Freedom Group, a holding company that includes firearms manufacturers Remington, Marlin, Bushmaster and DPMS, is in no way tied to anti-gun activist George Soros." ... from the current issue of Bullet Points.

Grin, if you want people to respect your posts, you need facts or a solid argument. You never have either. A name won't do a thing to make your posts, or anyone's, cogent. You joined in the claim that Smith was dropping the IL. If you want someone to respect your post, you'll need to have some facts to prove your point.

Why are you so scared to post the facts that prove the claim you made?

We all know what happened, you overextended yourself; you were called on it, and you can't get back to safety.

Please do this forum a favor and post with a greater motivation and more legitimate purpose than disagreeing with whatever we say.

What claim did i make?? Huh? Cut and paste my comment on the S&W. My post was in regards to you being a self appointed know-it-all of absoultely every subject. I said nothing about the S&W. I am an avid gun collector and know quite alot about guns in general. That said, i'm no expert on every gun like yourself. Chickensh!t
