    Yuck.

For me it is all about the guns and the outdoors and the people.

The gun store made think about the cosmetic counters at Mall stores like Macy's--Double Yuck

I would bet that the "average" German isn't using this range much. The parking lot is full of BMW's Mercedes, Maybachs etc but man oh man would I like to go there and shop, shoot and eat!!!

Contrary to popular opinion, German hunters are a varied lot. I hunt with a butcher, an exterminator, a carpenter, an engineer, a few doctors and some law enforcement folks. And since the person leasing the land owns the meat, most of my hunts are free or very low cost. Sure, you can buy the meat most of the time but, that is one way they recoup the cost of the lease/revier.

Sport shooting is a different story. A round of bunker or skeet is 8 Euro/ $10 in Wiesbaden. Ammo and powder is outrageous. Steel shot is required for target shooting at some locations.

The good news is a forest service guided 4 day hunt in the Alps for Class II Red Deer can be had for $1200. The use of a hut (and firewood) is included.

    Waidmannsheil!

This will happen in the US. Only for the well healed, of course. A good guess is that the first venue will be in California.

Not for me. I do not know how to say pull or failure to fire in German and it looked like they did not offer ATA trap. I did like the trash cans.

The German term is "Los" .... You might have some trouble with the voice call. There is no delay like CVR's. There is one nice thing about Bunker Shooters. We know how to put our hulls in the cans.

The big box stores would get in this thing and screw it up for the working class like they did for the small gunshops. Beat all the clubs prices until their are no more then raise the hell out of the prices.

Also you can bet their is someone thinking how they can suew over air quality breathing in the fumes from the powder. I have seen indoor pistol ranges and have seen people mention, isn't breathing in the fumes bad for you. Heck their just looking for a way to make an easy buck on someone else back.

Nope I'll stick to the great outdoors. Thank you.
