    The further back you stand, the lower your hold point wants to be because you've built muscle memory regarding how far you normally raise the barrel before firing. The further back you move, the less vertical barrel movement is needed to reach the same elevation above the house.

    I agree with Capt. Morgan's second sentence .......

    To answer the second part of your question .........

    Whether you are standing higher or lower [than level], your point of impact will be higher [than it would be if you were level]

    However, trajectory will come into play as well, making the sight picture dependent on how far back you are as well .......
