Fully Checkered Forend

    I notice more fully checkered forends lately ? If you have one would you please comment on your feelings about it ??

    I could see doing that on plain wood, but it would hide the beauty of figured wood.

    Checkering is for art and utility. Checkering anywhere beyond where the hands touch is for art's sake. Nothing wrong with pretty.

    Good checkering on good wood is all but invisible from 10 feet away.

    Clean the grime out wiht windex to see the grain highlights

    Windex, a soft toothbrush, water rinse and a pat dry with terry cloth towel.
