Hi Guys, I have the opportunithy to buy a Fuji auto with both trap and skeet barrels for $NZ400 (about $US300) in good overall condition. Does anyone have any experience with this gun (I believe they are the same as SKB auto's) and does this seem a good buy for a backup/loaner unit? Cheers-Graham.

SKB has a manual for an autoloader under their 'Parts' page. The manual has pictures if it's the same gun.

I found this on another forum, this may answer your question.

Nihon Ryojuuu was the maker of shotgun.
They made a Gas Operation Shotgun "Fuji Super Auto".
"Fuji Super Auto" has "Gas cut off floating barrel" function.
1970's "S&W Model 1000" was OEM of "Fuji Super Auto M2000"

"Nihon Ryojyuu" had changed the name to "Fuji" and disappeared.
Howa Machinery was continuing the manufacture sales until the beginning 1990's.
But now, it seems that it was discontinued.
They has English web site, but no contents for guns."
As a side note, Ryojyu means 'hunting gun' in Japanese.

Thanks Oletymer...usefull information. I let the deal go working on the policy "Why buy a cheap knockoff of a gun that wasn't necessarily too flash in the fisrt place". Plenty of guns around NZ. If anyone gets bored visit dubdubdubdot trademe dotcodotnz browse Sporting goods->Hunting and fishing->Shotguns and you'll see what's happening here. I just figured $400 was pretty good value for a trap gun and a skeet gun as a backup and to loan mates who come out for a look. Cheers-Graham.
