1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Super X-1s had 2 configurations of trap stocks-one with a Monte Carlo comb and one without. This is the one without. The factory LOP is 14 5/8"s, DAC is 1 3/8"s, and the DAH is 1 7/8"s. It will fit most people reasonably well, but the MC stock is easier to convert to an adjustable comb.

You are correct shaggist, the tag only gives 2 dimensions not 3. If it where MC stock it will have all 3. They only made 1 tag and used them on both style stocks. I am not trying to be a smart azz but I have noticed a lot of people what to post as they know everything, If you are not intrested in it do not comment. the box is orginal and s/n match gun. I live 10 miles from Olin chemical company and they sold these guns to employes in the late 70s. thanks Ronnie

You seem like a neat guy Ronnie. I bet guys are just lining up to buy this sx-1. I live 1350 miles from Olin Chemical and they sold these guns to anybody who wanted to buy one in the 70's! Jeff

I need to clear this up Jeff, This gun was sold to Olin workers only at a reduced cost at the Brandenburg, KY plant. Yes these guns where sold at any gun shop that carried Winchester firearms.

~If it where MC stock it will have all 3.~

Actually I think it would still just have only two, as the MC was parallel and therefore both ends are the same. I'll look on an MC box when I get home and see.

Beautiful gun, regardless of what's on the tag. That comb puts your head just a little bit lower than the MC does, but many people prefer that. I have enough SX1's but if I didn't I'd be making you an offer. Your price is higher than what is usually seen, but then you don't see that many NIB ones any more. The real worth of one of these guns in 98% condition is, in my view, about $2,000. The market just isn't smart enough to realize it. It will someday!

Hello, I have but one question because I've not seen a tag before or older boxes for Winchester guns, what is the deal with the bottom of the tag saying *includes one round in chamber? Excuse me if I'm missing the most obvious clue. Please clear this up for me haha....Curiosity has got me.

Millwright ... the mag tube will hold 4 shells, so the total capacity is 5 with one in the chamber. Bill Malcolm

Great gun, good price, and there use to be an Olin plant in LA that would sell these. I always took the the tag to be "DAH/Monte Carlo" = DAH (actual measurement) / Monte Carlo (no measurement either because it's flat or the drop down from the comb measurement will not give an actual representation. .??? Does anybody know the differences between the Trap and Trap XTR? Also, does this gun have the semi Beavertail Forend or the full Beavertail?
