1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

For sale is a Taurus 1911 with rails (less than 2 years old). The gun is in great shape. Shoots well, doesn't jam, etc. Santa brought me a new pistol for Christmas so this one has to go.

I installed the Hogue soft rubber grips but I do have the stock grip panels which I will obviously include.

Also included is a Crossbreed holster (Snapslide model). These are awesome holsters.

Included is two magazines (they are stock Taurus mags), cleaning brush, assembly tool, and case.

    Price - $500 + shipping

    Rastoff,
Good to hear from you. I am avid reader of yours from Shotgunworld.com. Maybe you should trade me one of your many shotguns for this one. You have too many shotguns. LOL!

I'll email you a picture of the other side of this 1911 a little later today.

I bet that Rock Island doesn't have the rail on it or the other features this Taurus has, this is a good deal.

Is the frame stainless or aluminum?

From what I have read, you would have to put about $1200 in a stock 1911 to have all the extras the Taurus comes with.

The frame isn't stainless. The Taurus website says........

"Starting with our own hammer-forged -not cast - ordnance grade steel frames, slides and barrels, we machine each and every part to tolerance levels that surpass even today's industry standards.......Construction: Steel/Alloy"

I handled one of these in Gander the other week. Felt nice and trigger was good compared to Remington 1911. This one is $200 cheaper than the one at Gander also.

The frame looks light colored in the pic so it's probably hard chrome which would be a big plus.

I don't think it's hard chrome, that's just the flash in my camera making it look shiny.
