1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

sure is easy to say no california sales. most don't under why. hope when your state throws road blocks up for you, everyone dosn't dump on you. stop helping the state interfere in legal gun ownership. with just a d/l you can ship a long gun to california (just like any other state) Jack

Shipping guns to California requires approval from the U.S. Department of Justice and it's a hoop many dealers don't care to jump through. The gunsmith who ships and receives guns for me obtained that approval last week so he could ship an 870 Competition receiver to California for me. It only takes a few hours as long as your past is squeaky-clean, is a one-time thing and costs nothing.

Now there are some guns that cannot be sold in California and I suppose you could get in trouble if you were to ship one of them there. Many Smith & Wesson revolvers cannot be sold there, either because they lack an internal lock of some kind or they failed the state's drop test. I recently scored a heck of a deal on a pristine Model 66 that a California "black gun" dealer took in trade without knowing he couldn't resell it in that state.

Ed, If you are not an ffl holder you can ship guns to a california ffl holder with just you d/l. no doj approval needed. hope that is common knowledge. also, it takes less the 30 minutes to comply with doj rules if you are a ffl holder. I would like to think most gun owners/sellers would be willing to help other gun owners (from california) to keep all our right in tact. thanks, Jack

Neo, Please send me some pictures of the 870 TC. I have an 86 year old friend that had his 870 T/C reciever crack. He is now looking for another T/C since the receivers are no longer made. Thanks, Bob
