1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Telling us about the Skeet-B and not putting up a pic is just rude. LOL

We old heads LOVE great guns and great wood.

I will never forget the one that I had! It was a beautiful gun! I bought it cheap, and was told that it belonged to Barbara Mandrell at one time. It was factory unaltered, and I believe it came with a factory 14-14.25" length of pull. I wanted to shoot it and took it to my local gunsmith. I had a recoil pad in my hand that would add length to make it 14.75" length of pull. I told him to put the recoil pad on to add length. I went back the next day to pick it up. There it was, it looked so good! He handed me the gun, and I shouldered it. it didn't feel any longer. I asked him what length of pull was, and he told me 14.25". I said, "you misunderstood me, I wanted to add length." He then pulled the chunk of wood that he cut off out of the trash can. I went outside to get some air, and I almost threw up!

Sorry for hi-jacking your thread, it just brought back memories. Good luck with your sale!

    Hey Matt

I think I had that same gun you were talking about. I bought it from Jimmy W. in Murray. I am pretty sure he told me it used to belong to Barbara Mandrell at one time. I bought it for Skeet and have since went back to the O/V gun. It had an adjustable comb and but plate on it when I bought it. I recently sold it to my brother-in-law in Tennesee. He has since sold it to one of his friends here in Murray. Small world HUH!!

    ltcricket & MIA,

That was the gun! I do not know who put the adjustable comb and adjustable buttplate on it, but I did sell the gun to Jimmy W. After the stock got cut, I just put the gun in my cabinet and never shot it. I sold it to Jimmy back in 2000 or 2001.

With the cost of cheapo shells, a guy can shoot one of these and forget reloading for skeet.

    MIA,

Exactly. This gun with some Rio 1 1/8 ounce, 1145fps, and hard #8's would make a High 1 into a puff of dust. If this 1100 is like most 1100's I've owned, it will probably sling those empties a long ways!

Bump for a super nice gun!

Remington 1100 Skeet B was my first real skeet gun (I don't count the Winchester Model 12 26" IC that I could not shoot). I bought mine in the mid 60's. I still have one (not the same one).

Is the cut off butt that contacted BM's shoulder still available?

    eightbore,

No, it isn't. I couldn't stand to see it, so it remained in the gunsmith's trashcan. Man was I sick!
