1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I have on consignment a pair of Dickson & Son, "Best Double Patent Ejector 12 bore Hammerless" Guns. Gun number "1" was completed on January 22nd 1903, and Gun number "2" was completed for the same customer on October 8th 1904. This is a beautiful round body pair of Dickson guns. This information is taken from an email received from:

    Gary MacPherson
    John Dickson & Son
    21 Fredrick Street
    Edinburgh
    EH2 2NE
    0131 225 4218.

In this same email, it is stated that both guns were returned and the barrels were sleeved. The new tubes are done wonderfully and in fact the owner did not know the barrels were sleeved until he checked on the manufacture date with Dickson.

Here are all of the important facts on the two guns. Gun number 1 weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces, has 29 inch barrels with 2 1/2 inch chambers. Bores measure .733 in right tube, .734 in left. Choke measures .724 in right tube for .009 constriction, and .716 in left tube for .018 constriction. Stock dimension is 1 3/8 X 2 1/16 X 14 5/8 over checkered butt.

Gun number 2 weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces, has 29 inch barrels with 2 1/2 inch chambers. Bores measure .733 in right tube, .733 in left tube. Choke measures .723 in right tube for .010 constriction, and .713 in left tube for .020 constriction. Stock dimensions are identical to gun number 1.

Gun comes in the original oak and leather case with the original label and loading information inside the lid. Both guns are in wonderful condition as you can see by the attached pictures. Price of the cased pair is $27,000 with the normal inspection period. Please feel free to contact me at esetter5@roadrunner.com with any questions or for additional pictures of the guns. This pair is ready for your driven shoot in England or to take to the next vintage shoot. It is a pleasure just to handle this fine pair of guns.
