1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Stumbled across this site when trying to figure out value on this knife. Never used, my Grandmother bought it because we live in Cedar Rapids. I'm not a fisherman so it has been sitting in my drawer. It is engraved 1997, SS on one side and Don Canney Maker on the other.

Only issues is a slight scratch on handle, very slight camera makes it seem more than it is, and the gold plugs have some slight discoloration.

Not sure of value, was going to list on Ebay but thought I would try here.

If anyone is interested shoot me a offer, or if someone knows what value is I sure would appreciate that as well.

    thanks!
    Becky

His filleting knives sell for $100-$120 new. Should give you at least a rough idea.

In my opinion Don Canney's "Leach Lake Knife company" Knives are the best money can buy. I have a filet knife I mainly use to trim the fat cap of pork shoulders and brisket. Works well and stays sharp. The SS stands for super steel. I paid around $100.00.

I bought it straight from Don and he gave me a free band aid to go with it. He said you will need it. And I did. Don't sell that knife it will last a life time.

I have three of his filet knives and tweo paring knives. The paring knives sell for $29 new at Reeds, I just bought one for my daughter inlaw. And yes that is with a holster. The filet knives are on ebay at $109 but you can order them from Reeds for $99. Best $99 you will ever spend. Don passed away but Reeds has the remaining inventroy

Thanks everyone, interesting info. Being from Cedar Rapids, Don's name is widely known, but I guess I didn't realize the popularity of his knives. I still will sell knife, it doesn't make sense to have it sitting in a drawer not being used. I guess I will throw it up on Ebay and see what happens or maybe try our local Craigslist & see if anyone in town wants it.
