It is $599 for the case, gun, scope, scope rings and manual. Basically everything you see in the pictures. I am selling this for less than what I paid for it.

The reason I am selling is I need the money to purchase some reloading stuff.

Buy with confidence I have 100% positive feedback on e-bay (Truthseeker1971) and I can supply you with names and numbers of other people I have bought/sold firearms to.

Buyer pays ACTUAL shipping costs and insurance. I can put a copy of the receipt in the box that it ships in. If you are serious PM me your number and I will call you tomorrow. Thanks!

Thats a pretty awesome deal on a very nice setup...surprised its still up there...If I didn't have more '06's than Springfield Armory I would be on this like white on rice

Brent, I might be a player for this rifle. I'm leaving for a gun show in a few minutes and if I don't see anything there that trips my trigger, I'll be in touch.

It is a shame that it's a .30-06 - the used rifle market is flooded with them and I expect that half or more of the bolt-action rifles at this show will be in that caliber. If it was in almost any other chambering, I would take it and not go to the show.

I understand what you are saying, but I think 30/06 is THE most versatile for the selection of bullet wieghts, power, availability and "do it all" made. You can take ANY North American game with it.

I will be checking here and my e-mail all day. PM or e-mail me if you are interested. Thanks!

I am unsure whether or not this is a "collectible". The reason I say this is because the certificate that comes with this says "This Model 700 bolt action rifle is DU's first ever rifle to be offered at auction."

Still, whether you "collect it" or shoot it, it is still an awesome buy for whomever purchases it from me.

If I buy it, I would consider it a collectible - I can think of (and already own) a lot of calibers I prefer to the .30-06. I know that in most hunters' eyes, it is the most versatile round going, but I have other preferences. To me, a .25-06 will handle just about anything in Pennsylvania without the bench recoil of the .30-06 and do a better job on varmints to boot. And if the game gets too big, I have a .300RUM to use. The .30-06 is a compromise caliber in my eyes.

My son feels the same way but owns one .30-06 that he doesn't shoot just because he feels everyone should have one. This Model 700 would be my equivalent of his, only prettier.

    Brent, if Jeff K. doesn't take it, send me a P.M. I'm a buyer.
