1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For Sale Model 12 Winchester 12ga. Skeet. This is an early gun I believe 1948, skeet with a cuts comp. The barrel look like was swaged at the end to accept the cuts as it doesn’t not look soldered on. I am not a mod 12 expert just my observation please any experts please chime in all information appreciated. Thanks. The rest of the story 13-3/4 length of pull, looks like original wood as it has the Winchester pistol grip cap and butt plate plastic not cracked. The barrel is marked { Simmons Guns Specialty } in script. Barrel 26” at the end of the cuts. The receiver is marked Skeet and serial numbers match. Overall condition used but not abused about 50% bluing maybe a little less, no rust, small stock repair on top of the receiver. Cutts original box with paper work and 5 chokes and wrench. This gun is what you would expect of a Winchester Skeet from 1948 that has been used for its intended business a solid gun and not a safe queen. Price is $550.00. + freight and I will pay the insurance to your FFL. Thanks for looking
    Vince

Winchester was not using that style rib in 1948. Post the serial # if you are not sure of the date of manufacture. It is possibly a plain barrel w/ a factory cutts that had a VR added to it.

The ser#s match with the wear pattern and the gun is marked Skeet, so I am assuming it is a skeet, maybe customer added as the barrel is marked Simmons on the rib side. Again I am not an expert on Mod. 12's.
    Thanks

I have it's twin brother. Also a 1948 factory cutts gun. mine was plain barrel from factory with rib added by Eubanks earlier this year. very cool gun. hope it sells soon so I won't have to buy it. Jack
