Fox River Gun Club, Kahoka, Mo. is having a meat shoot on New Years Day.
10 bird matches. 2 8oz. butterfly pork chops for first place and 1 lb. of bacon for second. Club opens at noon and the program starts at 1:00 p.m. Food and drinks will be available. Weather sounds great so come shoot with us.

This is so cool. While so many folks are scrambling to find "just the right prizes" this club is simply brilliant - a couple of pork chops and a pound of bacon.

Seriously, I am thinking about making the trip, just to have the experience of meeting those kind of people. I am not joking or trying to put anyone down. I am truly inspired that they are really doing this.

As a youngster many years ago one of the first prizes I ever won shooting trap was a pound of Korn Top bacon. A very fond memory. Something won is always sweeter than anything you buy.

Bacon, always an appropriate gift or trophy.

Where are you coming from? From 61 (coming from the south) it is the last exit after Fox River and before the Flying J exit. Go over the overpass and west to the club on right...........merlyn

The fellow we got the chops & bacon from has also donated a whole pork loin
and 3 or 4 of the great looking racks of ribs. So looking at having a 50 bird
derby with these for prizes along with the meat matches.Merlyn got the directions right. Thanks Merlyn. Just remember the Keokuk ,Ia. exit on 61. If coming from the south turn
left on the overpass and from the north turn right. It's about 1 1/4 mile to the club. Steve
