Leaving the Calcutta in Delta we found a new friend. Very very obedient corgi joined our ranks. Walked the campers and talk to the folks in the clubhouse hoping to find his family. No luck.
Couldn't leave him running around. Took him to the hotel and will have him back in the morning.
If he's yours, know he's in good hands. The guys at the desk know we have him and can get a hold of me tonight if needed.

    Gene.

    Three Hurrahs To you!

Or maybe that should be Three Hu-RUFFS. Yep. That fits better.

    Hu-Ruff, Hu-Ruuf Hu-Ruff Well Done Old Fellow!

May he lick some of his good luck from his tongue in finding a savior to your trigger finger to find some extra "dead birds" tomorrow.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I'm sure any of you would have done the same. It was our pleasure having the pup to keep us company for the evening.

Pyrdek, you may be on to something there. Came out of the shoot with 1.5 yards. Maybe I'll start "borrowing" people's dogs and rescuing them until I get to the 27.

    Nah. Better not.

    Thanks again.

    Gene.

    Try this link.

Delta is an excellent place to shoot. Good targets ( we KNOW good people ) and a great club.

Is it hard to find a place to stay? If all goes well there will be 9 shooters so it takes a few rooms for allof us lol.

    Ogallala/John.

Delta is a small community but does have a few motels. From no frill national chains to family run joints (some nicer than others of course). The club has camping also if that is something you'd be interested in.

The hotels do usually fill up early for the Labor Day weekend so book early if you can. We were a late decision to go ourselves and stayed 25 minutes away in a very small town. But it was certainly a gem of a place.

Worse comes to worse, Grand Junction (45 minutes) and Montrose (30 mins) are right down the road. They both have a lot of lodging. If they all fill up, I'm not sure.

Definitely plan on coming out and joining us. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I know it's a long way off but feel free to PM me if you want more information. If I don't know the answer I'll know someone who will.
