A piece broke off the forearm on my Winchester 101 while shooting. Can anyone
recommend someone experienced in wood repairs. Live in San Diego and would like
someone local if possible. Thanks much! Jim

Get some Brownells Acura Glass from the local gun emporium it's an epoxy resin glue. It has 2 parts resin and catylist with a packet of brown dye to color it.
place a small amount 1/2 tsp on a piece of cardboard and mix color to suit. add the hardener -catalist- and glue it together no sweat.

Be very liberal with the included release agent. If you follow directions w/Brownell the break will be the strongest place on the foreend.

jim if you decide to go the AcuraGlass route, be careful how much you use, since you are going to have to clean the excess off. That can be done both wet and after it dries, but doing it wet can sometimes make the repair a little shy of the surface. Whatever you do, don't try to use some sort of hardward glue then take it to someone and see if they can fix it! I've had way too many come that way.
