Do you know of a place for us to stop with our camper/truck rig that is close to the airport?

We are bringing our camper to the Grand, but Martin needs to get me as close to the airport as possible on the way back on Sunday morning, because I have a to fly out of there for a business trip. We want to get as close as we can and then call a cab to pick me up where we are parked.

I want to keep the cab expense down as low as possible. We are unfamiliar with the area. I'm sure that we can't pull the camper through the airport, but if we can get close that would be awesome.

    Suggestions?

There are several extended stay parking lots he could drop you off at that have free shuttles to the terminals. There should be no need for you to get a cab. Someone a little more familiar with the airport can chime in. You might want to state what route you will be traveling on in order for someone to tell you exactly where to stop and be picked up so there is no issues getting the rig turned around.

Curvy - I don't know what the drop off looks like at that airport, but why couldn't you drive right up to front door and get out? Patrons get dropped off like that all the time. Even if you have a big camper, I would think it would be do-able.

I'm on a walker. I can't take the metro. Gotta be a cab, it'll be a lot easier for me with a walker and a suitcase.

Security regulations will probably prevent a person from driving up and stopping in front of the drop off area with a camper.

That's a good idea. I'll check out the hotel parking lots. Martin is driver, and I'm not sure of the route. I know that we end up eventually on I-70 coming home. I will not be returning with him. After the Grand, I fly to NJ for a few days, then I fly home. He just needs a place to drop me as he is driving our rig back home.

    Thanks for the help everyone!

There is a cell phone lot west of the airport where you can observe arrival and departure times. It is large enough for a camper and cab fare should be minimal. It is north of 70 on Natural Bridge. On Woodson south of 70 there are several businesses that wsill have large empty lots making it easy for a camper

St Louis Mills Mall. Exit 11 on 370. Big area close to Lambert that is not congested. Can't miss the green Cabela's roof.

recurvyarcher, here is an offer if it works for you.

I will be heading to the Airport on Sunday afternoon from The Grand with my wife as I need to catch a flight at 6PM. I plan on leaving around 2 that day and you are more then welcome to get a ride with us. There may be a chance that I get on an earlier flight that day.

Send me a PM if you want.
