For those of us born in the early 50

As a youngster, I watched a western series as I recall that had a differnt show each week. I remeber two of the shows but not the third, the two I remember are Cheyenne, and Sugar Foot. Any one recall the third and or fourth if there was a fourth?

There were way to many to count, but the best were Gunsmoke and Maverick.

Perhaps next was Have Gun Will Travel and Wanted Dead or Alive.

Link to above to tv Westerns in 50's and 60's

Anyone one remember "Texas John Slaughter" or "Shotgun Slade"? Wagon Train and Rawhide were on then too.

The Third (as stokinpls said) was Bronco. I assume that was what you were looking for. TY Hardin was the man that played Bronco Layne. So who played Sugar foot???

Will Hutchins played Sugarfoot. I was a fan of the Rifleman as well.Chuck Connors played basketball for the Boston Celtics as well as minor league baseball.

    Duh

Original poster was asking for names of characters, not TV shows.

Link to Wipikedia about the series.

    Johnny Ringo was another.

I watched all the series mentioned. Violence in tv is not a recent phenomenon.

how about Paladin? The actor played some pretty mean and nasty bad guys later on.

The leader of the gang on "Big Jake" so I guess the good guys could be BAD Dudes too!!
