    Dear TS.com....

Maybe I'm just getting old and cranky and looking for something to b$*ch about, but you really need to do something about the growing number of threads posted in the wrong thread categories.

There's so much political crap in the 'shooting' section that it's now rarely worth my time to sort through it all to fin the few posts worth reading. Even the 'shoot results' section is seeing its share of unrelated posts.

Please come up with a better method for handling this!!!! I know you're at our mercy, but I'm not going to bother with TS.com much longer if you don't at least attempt a fix.

I'm sorry Mark, but I fail to see the problem. Sure, a lot of those polictical threads are so opinionated that I seldom open them. But it's always better to have too much data available than not enough.

I enjoy reading some of the way off-topic threads as they reflect the diversity we enjoy on this site. It really doesn't matter what part of your car, house or yes, even gun with which you are experiencing a problem, practical suggestions are always forthcoming.

I don't employ the "Category" view because some of the non-shooting threads have titles that interest me. I just skip over the ones that don't - how hard is that?

I don't use the "categories" option either but with the current gun control frenzy going on everything political is shooting related. You can tell by the titles on most of them what your getting into.

MARK, READ THE FRICKING TITLE!!!! OR LOOK AT THE AUTHOR OF THE THREAD. YOU'LL LEARN, MAYBE, THAT SOME OF THE POSTERS ON HERE ARE WACKOS AND ARE JUST KEYBOARD COWBOYS. IF YOU AREN'T INTERESTED...DON'T OPEN IT. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.

The moderators and David have better things to do than babysit. Leave this site alone.

I'm old and cranky too but I think the Moderators are doing a good job lately. Some of the resident jackasses have disappeared which is a good thing. Just yesterday there was an ignorant thread which disappears quickly.

I use the category view since I feel that anyone who isn't smart enough to post in the proper section isn't worth reading. Then there are the folks that think David's rules don't apply to them. I guess their parents told them they were special.

As for the political threads it's always the same people with the same spew so I usually avoid them although they can be a source of amusement.

I use the category view and when there is a thread posted in the wrong category, it is usually moved to the correct one in a day or so.

What do we need categories for anyways? Just to have a reason for some to gripe?
