1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

That does not look like a gun that is said to be fired 100 rounds....but I do not think it is abused or bad condition either. This gun would probably approach 500.00 on gunbroker as it is with box.

Looks like some flame cutting on the top strap - my guess is a few thousand rounds of .357 ammo. Not a deal buster but it is best to give proper representation.

B.C. when I was collecting Smiths several years ago a set of Diamond Target grips like you have there would bring $150 up to $200 alone depending on the condition and those look pretty good as far as I can see. With the box (if numbered to the gun)and tools and the original grips (if numbered to the gun) I would suspect that it would bring between $500 and $600 (more if the topstrap cleans up) and then you could sell the diamond target grips separate.

    Just my 2 pennies

I thought these guns were $3 - $400 but a 4" one sold not long ago here for $650 and I believe your's with box is nicer.

Around here one like yours would go for approximately $625 to the right buyer. I would say that is the top end price. 4" models go for a bit more.

Any higher ($700+) and folks start looking at Model 27's.

    Nice gun!

I'd say it's quite a nice representation of the Mod 28....

I also have one just like it, all target with trigger smoothed, but has lots of rounds through it.

Brother in Law was going to trade it in for a Blackhawk, and they only offered him $125.00.

I said I would give that, so I have it.

Still looks and shoots great even though heavily used

Wouldn't sell mine for $600.00 cause I really like it, don't care what the real value of it is!
