1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

This is going to get hairy as I cannot post pics or even email them! Scope with lens caps is probably 98%. Gun is probably 95% with oil finish on stock! Bluing is very very good! I would prefer not to ship, esp since I can't do pics! However, if there is serious interest, I would haul it to the Buckeye Classic next week at Cardinal Center! $1300 is firm boys! Let me know if interested! Tom Rhoads By the way, I have owned 4 52s, 2 Cs and 2 Ds. Although all were outstanding, but this one was the best.

    Tom,

Was this a U.S. marked CMP gun or was it a retail gun?

    Thanks, John Ertel

John: It was not marked cmp with crude etching so I am fairly certain it was a retail gun! HMB: I am pretty sure it is 1.5 " but if serious, I will double check tonight! Tom Rhoads

Tom, it would not be marked "CMP" but if it was made under contract as a military trainer, it would have US stamped on the receiver.

Thanks Toolmaker! That is what I was thinking of as I have seen them marked with the crude etching "US". Tom Rhoads

Tom, if it was a X military rifle it would look like this.

Lets us know on the diameter of the objective on the Unertl, and yes if it doesn't have the U.S. scratched on the side of the receiver with the electric engraver its is most likely a retail gun and worth every penny that you are asking. How does the trigger feel in it? Its not a Karl Kenyon by any chance?

Strange objective size sir! 1.7125 outside diameter! By the way, I think I have underated the bluing and rifle condition!? Also, for another $200 I would include the Redfield Intl Match rear sight and the Olympic Redfield front sight! In addition, the adjustable butt pad says, "Sure Grip, Rible butt pad, The Mershon Co. Inc., and Freeland design! First taker going to Buckeye will be honored! If none, I will consider shipping at buyer's cost! Tom Rhoads
