    Hey Hap,

I've got a problem with my MEC 9000 that you may be able to solve. Something is out of alignment and my crimps don't close all the way. Many times a single piece of shot is left above the crimp. Nomrally I would adjust the "cam", per the manual; however, that adjustment doesn't seem to have any effect on the crimp. I've adjusted the cam to both extremes without any change in the crimp. Do you have any recommendations?

Chip, I would try two things, first, I'd add a tad of wad pressure, then lower the pre-crimp starter about a 1/16th of an inch or less. That should close the hulls mouth at the first crimp station and prevent shot from escaping or lying on top of the crimp. Make small adjustments till you get the desired results for that particular load.
