A big thanks to the "Turkey Shoot" participants Nov.6. The shoot netted over $1000.00 for the local food bank. Thanks to all who brought can food, the bank appreciated everything. This is the second year we have had a Thanksgiving food bank drive. In 2009 we gave $1000.00. Flagler plans to make this an anual event, keep that in mind for next year.

This is our second year at Mallard Trap Club of donating to the 2 local food banks of $500 each , a $500 scholorship fund and $100 to the local American Legion . Tomorrow night we will be donating an extra $500 to a disabled Marine who lost his legs in Afganistan last year and also making him an Honorary Member of Mallard . He has just come back from Walter Reed Hospital getting fitted with artificial legs and they are having a benefit buffet at a local Pub . 3 of us from the club will be there including a wheelchair member who will present this certificate and check . This young man had hopes of becoming a gunsmith even before he joined the Marines . More clubs should look into doing what we are doing for the good of the shooting community .

Ljutic III, Thanks for the reply and great work. Positive publicity goes a long way for our gun clubs.
